Alpine Mountain House Inception

Built in 2015 this house is a living museum and tribute to our father Richard B. Schnedl, AIA, who was an innovative and award winning Architect in the southeast. He was Head of Design for Hayes and Howell Architects  out of Southern Pine, NC. from the early 60's until the 80's. He then became the island architect on Bald Head Island until retiring in the 90's.  He was in the first class of Architects of NC State graduating in 1952. Regularly  mentored by Frank Lloyd Wright.  After retiring his interest turned to lamps and furniture with some of his designs displayed in this house.

Accommadations are Four bedrooms. A master bedroom upstairs and a master bedroom downstairs, each with an en suite bathroom.  The downstairs additional bedroom shares the master bathroom, while the upstairs guest bedroom has its bathroom just across from the bedroom.  There is a living room upstairs as well as a smaller Den downstairs, each with a TV and DVD player.  This house is designed for two families to share the house.  The extra large kitchen is set up to take advantage of the views and fully stocked. A true Gourmet Kitchen.
